Critical to the success of each new therapeutic, the BioAnalytical R&D group develops and validates novel assays to measure pharmacokinetics, immunogenicity and biomarkers. We are searching for an industry experienced Scientist I (Masters or Ph.D.) who will develop and execute cell-based functional assays and immunoassays using innovative new technologies. This position offers a unique career opportunity to work on the entire spectrum of a product lifecycle, from early non-clinical work through all stages of clinical development, including post-marketing work. The successful candidate will interact with toxicologists, immunologists, pharmacologists, and clinical scientists to advance our most promising pipeline molecules that treat unmet medical needs for rare diseases. You will be in a position to apply new platforms that further accelerate drug development, while maintaining a critical eye on assay quality and maintaining regulatory standards. Specifically, we are looking for a bench scientist with 0-2 years (Ph.D.) or 8-12 years (Masters) of drug development experience, who has a track record for developing biomarker assays, cell-based assays and immunoassays that have been critically reviewed by regulatory agencies. The individual will have an established field of expertise and will be expected to bring in novel technology platforms for rapid implementation. The Scientist I will need exceptional oral and written communication skills to mobilize others for teamwork on projects and to mentor junior scientists in data interpretation and planning of future experiments. The Scientist I will also represent the department to other parts of the organization and the external scientific community. This Scientist I position will report to a Senior Scientist of BioAnalytical R&D and will have the opportunity to influence the evolution of the BioAnalytical Sciences department in a growing biotech company. | |
