Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a Executive Medical Director Medical Research Therapeutic Area Head - Hypertension and Metabolism for our Parsippany, NJ location. This position sets the strategic direction and oversees the tactical implementation of the commercial Medical Research team responsible for Phase IIIb studies (if appropriate) for products pending approval and Phase IV studies for products in the areas of hypertension and metabolism. This position must effectively collaborate with Clinical Development and with co-promote partners to effectively support the commercial scientific efforts needed for marketed and pipeline hypertension and metabolism products and is responsible for overseeing the senior medical director’s for the different therapeutic teams and their appropriate management of IIS strategies, FMA partnerships, and advisory board strategies.

 

Responsibilities: 

In this role, you will oversee and assume responsibility for the strategic medical input to the hypertension and metabolism brand teams to ensure a robust medical research plan; and planning, timely implementation, completion and finalization of studies conducted by the hypertension and metabolism therapeutic areas. You will also oversee the interpretation, publication/ public disclosure and interpretation of scientific data; and development of scientific content for medical communication and scientific education initiatives that occur as a result of studies conducted by the hypertension and metabolism therapeutic areas.
