The Clinical Pharmacist II will provide an information service and knowledge base on the pharmaceutical aspects of clinical trials at all stages in their design and implementation in Clinical Pharmacology. In addition, he/she will be accountable for the development and/or maintenance of facilities and processes to ensure preparation and dispensing of investigational compounds is performed to the appropriate standards. We are currently seeking a Nuclear Clinical Pharmacist for our Clinical Operations department located in Madison, WI! Job Duties Include: Liaise with Sponsors and Clients regarding study design and dispensing capabilities Interact with regulatory bodies as are relevant to the pharmacy department Assume responsibility as technical advisor to the clinical teams and other departments within Clinical Pharmacology Ensure the pharmacy facilities and processes are compliant with most recent regulations/guidelines Maintain and further develop facilities and processes relevant to the pharmacy Perform pharmacy feasibility review of new proposals Oversee and direct the development/implementation of quality systems to ensure good dispensing practices are maintained Ensure compliance with FDA/GCP/USP regulations Perform routine dispensing as needed Assist client manager with the development of proposals Assist operations and client managers with Sponsor visits and interactions as appropriate Ensure safe working practices/environment is employed and maintained Ensure that SOPs germane to the pharmacy area are accurate and up to date Travel may be required for cross-site support needs or external training needs Education and Experience : RPH or Board Certified Nuclear Pharmacist Pharmacy License in the State of Wisconsin 5-15 years related pharmacy experience preferred 5-8 years clinical research experience preferred Must be able to stand and/or bend for up to 6 hours per day After hours and weekend work as required Must be able to lift and carry 40+ pounds At Covance, we help make the miracles of medicine a reality.
