2021 Quality Operations Intern

Job Description

The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects.  These opportunities in manufacturing can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals. 

The 2021 Quality Operation Interns, with guidance from the Sr. Specialist within Quality Operations Organization, will have the opportunity to work on strategic goals for the business. The incumbent will have the opportunity to drive project(s) through the organization, leading multi-functional teams and interacting with Senior Leaders.  The project(s) would be within a specific area, which would be identified upon acceptance; however, the following areas are potential areas that the incumbent would support:

  • Laboratory Technical Services (Engineering/Validation/Qualifications)
  • SOP and Batch Record Management
  • Change Control
  • Audits and Inspections  
  • Deviation Management
  • Annual Product Reviews
  • Vendor Management
  • Inspection Management, Quality Management Systems, Quality Council Management
  • Risk Management
  • Market Actions
  • Laboratory Instrument and Equipment Support
  • Batch Release
  • Environmental Monitoring/Qualification
  • Process Simulations

Primary Activities: 

  • Develop a project plan to address the strategy/problem statement that you will be working on
  • Schedule routine meetings with the necessary stakeholders
  • Actively participate in the Tier process and use this forum to make concerns visible
  • Maintain metrics and tracking of progress on project.
  • Ensure all data is in compliance with cGMPs, GLPs and departmental procedures and assay methods and is of the highest integrity, quality and accuracy

Education Requirement:

Currently enrolled in a B.S. or M.S., in Scientific or Engineering field program.

Required Experience and Skills:

Demonstrated interpersonal skills including flexibility, collaboration and inclusion skills, and ability to work in a team environment. 
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Demonstrated self-starter with capability to develop innovative solutions to challenges. 
Proven analytical aptitude, critical thinking skills, and ability to apply key concepts. 
Speaks with courage and candor. 
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
