Aerie Pharmaceuticals seeks qualified candidates for a full-time position in our Finance department in our Bedminster, NJ office.
Overall Purpose:
As part of the revenue reporting team, the Analyst, Revenue Accounting will be responsible for supporting the execution of timely and accurate revenue reporting for the Company. The Analyst, Revenue Accounting will play a key role in the Company’s revenue reporting as Aerie continues to mature as a public company. The analyst will work with people at all levels of the organization (senior management, functional leadership and staff) to report, monitor and manage key revenue drivers.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
 

  • Prepare and perform analyses to support revenue accounting team. Identify trends, share insights and drive improvement / efficiency to the close process
  • Work with 3PL to support Order to Cash transactional accounting, including Accounts Receivable, Chargebacks, Returns, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with business partners to ensure all programs contemplated in the gross to net revenue accounting are accurate and complete frequent communication with external business partners resolves any business challenges.
  • Participation in financial close process including but not limited to journal entries, reconciliations, account variance analysis, and other ad-hoc analysis for sales reserves (Managed Care & Medicare, wholesaler DSA, Prompt Pay, returns, Medicaid).
  • Demonstrates proficiency in financial analysis, reporting and interpretation of data
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of US GAAP and solid accounting skills
  • Support external reporting and audit requirements
  • Uses good analytical and data interpretation skills to analyze and resolve complex financial problems
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures documenting critical business processes.
  • Strong team player that has customer service approach and is solution oriented
  • Other duties as assigned or as business needs require.

  
Key skills/desired experience:

  • 2-4 years accounting or auditing experience required.
  • Big 4 accounting firm experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and SOX knowledge a plus
  • Strong financial background including experience in working with a variety of financial reporting systems with an emphasis on Excel.
  • Experience in Pharmaceuticals is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Working knowledge of SAP.
  • Must demonstrate analytical, problem solving and process focused skills.
  • Must have attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree, preferably in Accounting. CPA preferred.
  • 2-4 years accounting or auditing experience required.
  • Big 4 accounting firm experience is highly preferred.
