Our Market Access team monitors population demographics and develop solutions to give patients access to our medicines. We act as both educators and advocates for our products, processes, and practices that help us revolutionize how our medicines create value in society.
Innovative Financing Strategy and Analytics: In concert with HQ-based or country/region-based Market Access Teams, Franchise teams, CORE, Policy and others, work collaboratively to develop innovative financing strategies and solutions, including the following:
Development of a global strategy on innovative financing designed to address customers’ affordability concerns regarding our key strategic brands, that is aligned with our continued value demonstration for those brands
Evaluate the financial, commercial, and reputational feasibility of potential innovative financing pilots, and work with the organization to implement as appropriate
Serve as subject matter expert in the area of innovative financing, providing consulting to franchises, geographies, and global management as needed
Develop capabilities such as best practices, tools and processes to evaluate and track innovative financing programs both within and outside of the company, and continuously update strategy and implementation as appropriate
Develop a Global COE for Innovative Financing Excellence: Develop, expand and refine our company's institutional knowledge of innovative financing approaches, implementation excellence, and business impacts.
Become recognized as an internal expert on Innovative Financing
Leverage capabilities to complete financial modeling, track and evaluate implemented approaches
Partner with Finance, external vendors, and others to implement key pilots, capture appropriate data, and calculate measures designed to evaluate success and scalability
Additional responsibilities may include: Performing analytical and modeling projects in support of market access and pricing needs. Provide relevant and actionable information, insights, and recommendations to global cross-functional teams at all levels of the business. Support international business decision making and shape our company’s value propositions to customers. Specifically, the incumbent’s responsibilities may include,
Evaluating price actions from a financial and competitive perspective, and analyzing retrospective pricing/contracting decisions at country/region level
Generating and communicating insights based on analyses leading to meaningful business outcomes
Supporting analytic needs of Regional and Franchise Pricing and Market Access teams
Education Minimum Requirements:
Preferred: MS or MBA
Required Experience and Skills:
Minimum of (5) years in Pharmaceutical Marketing or Sales, Pricing, Reimbursement or Access, or Finance
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Prior experience in health insurance industry, healthcare finance, or healthcare consulting in the area of value-based contracting, portfolio contracting, and/or innovative financing.
Strong Conceptual & Analytical Thinking Skills – needed to identify and develop innovative solutions and to efficiently distill lessons learned from actual experience
Communication & Influence – solicits ideas for improvement and engages stakeholders and employees in developing plans. Excellent executive presentation and communications skills are needed
Collaboration - must be able to collaborate with country, regional, & global colleagues on both strategic and tactical levels
Strong Project Management Skills – proven ability to manage diverse range of projects and competing priorities and effectively manage a cross-functional team
Demonstrated Planning and Execution Capability
Quantitative Skills - Demonstrated quantitative ability, including facility with Excel and generally high level of financial acumen
