Blood Bank/Point of Care Medical Laboratory Scientist Lead - Full Time

We invite you to join our collaborative Laboratory Team at a 25-bed critical access hospital that values teamwork, flexibility, and commitment to quality patient care. Under limited supervision, the Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist performs and oversees moderate and high-complexity laboratory testing, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.

In addition to bench testing responsibilities, the Lead Technologist provides day-to-day technical oversight, training, and support for assigned areas. This Lead position will be primarily responsible for the Blood Bank (Transfusion Services) and Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) programs, including quality control review, competency assessment, policy and procedure development, and coordination of regulatory compliance. The Lead will also provide general support for testing in other laboratory areas, including Hematology, Coagulation, Chemistry, and Urinalysis, as needed.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and leadership ability in coordinating workflow, maintaining quality standards, and fostering effective communication among laboratory and clinical staff.

Full time 4-10's or 5-8's, daytime, or evening hours available, weekend and holiday rotation, and occasional 3rd shift required.
