The role you'll contribute:
Responsible for implementing and supervising physical exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs. This role ensures that exercise programs are safe and effective, adjusting them as necessary based on patient progress. In addition, this position educates patients on the benefits and proper techniques of physical exercise. Additionally, this role collaborates with healthcare professionals to integrate exercise programs into overall patient care plans.
The value you'll bring to the team:
- Communicates and documents patient information effectively.
- Performs and interprets the results of physiological assessment accurately, recognizing high-risk individuals and designing/referring appropriate exercise prescription.
- Plans and teaches exercise therapy for patients using test data, patient status, and current medication regimen.
- Monitors patients' response to therapy and revises plans accordingly.
- Provides exercise information for patients, peers, and the community, including public speaking and education classes.
Qualifications
The expertise and experience you'll need to succeed:
- Bachelor's in Exercise Science or related field [Required]
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
