Field Reimbursement Manager

We have several exciting career opportunities throughout the US as Field Reimbursement Managers to support the roll out of our HIV med launch! 

The Field Reimbursement Manager will provide external and internal reimbursement and access support for ViiV Healthcare products within a specified geographic region. The role will support Regional Sales Directors, Territory Account Managers, Field Payer Teams, ViiV Connect Site Coordinators, and Channel distribution.

This position is a provider-facing, field-based role responsible for supporting appropriate patient access to ViiV Healthcare products.  The FRM will:

  • Educate providers about important product reimbursement information and processes across settings of care.
  • Review key payer policies, coverage and authorization criteria with prescribing providers and their staff.
  • Communicate ViiV Access Support Services that may be available to help appropriate patients access ViiV Healthcare medicines.
  • Review acquisition options (specialty pharmacy and buy-and-bill) and potential implications to the facility/practice and patient.
  • Compliantly discuss applicable coding necessary for claim submission (HCPCS, CPT, ICD-10, billable units).
  • Act as the primary access and reimbursement resource for internal field counterparts.
  • Work with colleagues across the business to assess the access landscape, changing insurance dynamics and patient journey.
  • Lead regional matrix partner calls to review regional activity, access barriers and opportunities.
  • Serve as an integral member of the ViiV field team with a primary focus on ensuring each appropriate patient leverage healthcare coverage and ViiV support programs to maximize access to ViiV Healthcare medicines.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor degree- areas of Specialization: Business, Public Health, Health Policy, Social Science or similar
  • Expertise required to effectively analyze, interpret and articulate coverage policy to ViiV Healthcare prescribers. Strong business acumen required to assess the reimbursement landscape, identify trends and resolve barriers to patient access. In addition, expertise required to translate access dynamics to the provider community and internal stakeholders. Exceptional communication and time management skills are required.
  • Minimum 3 years in field reimbursement, field sales, payer marketing, patient support programs and/or reimbursement HUB programs. For sales professionals added experience in payer liaison or similar role and an executed development plan targeted for payer roles would be required.
  • Expertise required to effectively analyze, interpret and articulate coverage policy to ViiV Healthcare prescribers. Strong business acumen required to assess the reimbursement landscape, identify trends and resolve barriers to patient access. In addition, expertise required to translate access dynamics to the provider community and internal stakeholders. Exceptional communication and time management skills are required.
  • Strong customer focus with ability to build relationships and inspire confidence in product access.  Ability to operate independently with a high degree of initiative. Strong issue identification and resolution skills. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.  Strong knowledge of specialty pharmacy access dynamics. 
  • Thorough understanding of buy-and-bill process. 
  • Comprehensive understanding of Medicare Parts, A, B, C, and D, Medicaid, ADAP and commercial insurance. Understanding of the miscellaneous J code and temporary Q and C codes.

Preferred requirements:

  • MBA or Advanced Certification in Health Policy or Public Health-areas of specialization: Business, Health Policy, Public Health.
  • Expanded  understanding of today’s insurance landscape and the complexities of reimbursement across the spectrum of payers considered a plus.
