Currently seeking a qualified Field Service Technician for an opportunity in San Francisco, California. The ideal candidate will be tasked with troubleshooting, repairing, performing preventative maintenance, and updating new or currently in use medical devices in the hospital setting. Prior experience as a Biomedical Technician within a medical environment is preferred, but not required. Experience repairing, performing software upgrades, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting on equipment is needed. This role has the potential to include national and regional travel to support accounts. There is also a potential need to complete administrative tasks from home. Any work that is completed must also be appropriately documented and reported against.
Perform software upgrades on medical equipment
Ability to disassemble and reassemble complex equipment for repairs
Provide troubleshooting of equipment
Unload and organize equipment
Communication to internal and external partners around support needs and progress
Provide detailed reporting on daily and weekly progress
Preferred Job Requirements:
Biomedical Technician experience is a plus
Experience in hospital setting or with medical devices preferred
Electronics Technician, Electrical Technician, Mechanical Engineering, or Repair Technician experience
Intermediate computer skills required: proficient in email, word processing, spreadsheets, basic software, and time and expense systems
Ability to travel up to 100%
Able to work 40 hours per week
Excellent communications skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, kneeling and some lifting of equipment may be required of up to 50 pounds
