In NC, we operate three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains. Our legacy Injectable Finished Products (IFP) facility in Clayton, NC is a 457,000 square foot aseptic "fill and finish" site that is responsible for producing innovative, injectable diabetes and obesity treatments. Position Purpose: Accountable for the site Capacity FFEXP business plan & strategy. Provide leadership & guidance to Finance & Procurement department. Maintain financial policies & procedures, financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls & audits. Provide financial support & leadership to the organization in all areas of accounting, finance & business strategy planning. Define, lead & manage the indirect sourcing process at NNPILP. Manage efficient & reliable indirect procurement processes. Continuous improvement of standards to manage vendor performance, reduce risk, drive improvements & reduce overall costs for NNPILP.
Accountabilities:
- Provide leadership, guidance & development to the Finance & Procurement team, to include interviewing/hiring talent, career development & performance coaching/mentorship/management, & disciplinary action as appropriate
- Anchor all financial matters concerning analysis & reporting within the finance organization
- Manage & support stakeholder relationship within IFP-US, IFP-DK, FFEXP Finance, PS Finance & other corporate functions in procurement (StSo, CP, IES) for escalation of issues
- Ensure financial compliance including sufficient internal controls & adherence to Sarbanes- Oxley requirements
- Ensure accurate budgeting for site & compliance with internal & external financial audits
- Monitor financial performance & financial KPIs by utilizing standard systems & tools from the FFEXP program
- Provide ad hoc reporting, to include creating, developing, presenting & improving reports as needed.
- Responsible for procurement strategies to ensure compliance with corporate requirements & improvements of cost, quality & delivery of goods/ services purchased.
- Create & drive processes for supplier selection, development, monitoring & overall supplier management in accordance with NN, PS, NC sites & generally accepted good practices (GAAP, SARBOX, etc.)
- Ensure contract coverage for all goods & services in compliance with best practice standards
- Set up contract management process to cover major investment projects
- Ensure contract storage in proper systems
- Direct & lead cross-functional teams in various sourcing categories to identify, select, negotiate, establish & source preferred supplier contracts, agreements, leases, supplies & services
- Represent site capacity on global & local project teams for changes that affect business needs relating to procurement activities
- Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties.
- Other accountabilities, as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Procurement or Accounting from an accredited university required.
- Master’ degree in Business, Finance or Supply Chain from an accredited university preferred.
- CPA Certification preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a manufacturing organization required, pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years’ direct supervisory experience required.
Technical/Process/Functional Knowledge:
- Advanced knowledge of Finance regulations (GAAP, IFRS, IRS) required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of procurement & contract management experience required.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of business processes in manufacturing & operations required.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience supporting major capital investment projects required.
- Proficiency in preparing charts, graphs & presentations required.
- Strong process improvement, systematic troubleshooting & problem-solving skills preferred.
Organization/Planning:
- Ability to plan, coordinate & prioritize activities to ensure optimal use of resources in the department required.
- Ability to develop & manage action plans to achieve targets & handle multiple tasks simultaneously required.
Physical & Other Requirements:
- Occasionally moves equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility.
- Constantly operates a computer & other office equipment.
- Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction.
- Ability to adjust schedule to work with colleagues in other international time zones.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally, up to 10% of the time.
