Medical Affairs Manager (AT, CZ, PL)

Overview

Syneos Health is currently recruiting for a Medical Head for 3 countries, Austria, Poland and Czech Republic based in one of those countries. The MH has primary accountability to meet or exceed business goals. She or he will direct and manage all nurses across multiple client accounts. The MH will ensure that by managing our nurses, our clients’ expectations and goals are identified, measureable, time-bound, and attainable. The MH will identify, develop, and implement actions to achieve operational excellence and cost efficiency and will cultivate long-term relationships with other Syneos Health senior management across Syneos Health Consulting, Clinical, and Commercial business segments. The MH will be a trusted partner in providing strategic insight and medical knowledge in support of proposal responses and awarded projects, and will also play an integral role in organizing and directing the activities of nurse teams.

Medical Head based in Austria/Poland/Germany or Czech Republic

Responsibilities

  • Acts as local commercial compliance officer and is responsible for communication with Competent Authorities on the behalf of our client
  • Serves as expert on therapeutic area and client products
  • Serves as medical expert for the 3 countries, maintains high level interactions with KOLs and fosters long term professional
  • Provides therapeutic area and products trainings to all relevant personnel.
  • Responsible for Medical Information service and system
  • Provides compliance and pharmacovigilance trainings all relevant personnel
  • Manage and support nurses in the three countries in their day to day task and professional conduct and development
  • Provides of scientific support to medical and marketing activities as required including review of materials, activities, congresses, grant applications etc.
  • Responsible for development and management of non-promotional support materials
  • Participates in relevant national and international congresses and all major events



Job Requirements

  • Qualified and registered Medical Doctor by training, with clinical experience
  • Medical Affairs and network building experience; ideally additional experience in country-level medical affairs
  • Preferably experience in line-management and managing various stakeholders in healthcare ecosystem
  • Very good understanding of healthcare systems of the three countries
  • Very good understanding of clinical practice, guidelines and existing standards in idiopathic or heritable pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of applicable compliance, legal & regulatory requirements
  • Experience in handling and data from clinical trials (Phase I-IV) and its interpretation
  • Very good organizational skills and strong team and customer orientation as well as increased communication skills
  • Fluency in Business English, in addition to local language(s)
  • Increased willingness to travel desired
