The Business Analyst acts as the key point of contact between the MES COE and site based project teams to ensure that deployments of the Werum PAS-X software are installed to maximize business benefits and are in line with Merck business process and technical standards. The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting MES implementations across the full systems life cycle, from identifying the business needs of clients and stakeholders to help build business cases and determine appropriate implementation of the technology, through support to project implementation and ongoing operations.
Education Minimum Requirement:
- BS / MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related technical subjects.
- 5 years of experience in Vaccines / Pharmaceutical Manufacturing front line supervision and/or project/automation/IT support. Proven record of proficiencies associated with business analysis on small sized projects. Excellent understanding of cGMP's, SDLC methodologies and LEAN/MPS/ Sigma principles. Excellent facilitation, problem solving, and decision making skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and define business problems, develop business cases, and identify appropriate process and technological solutions is essential. Proven facilitation, meeting/workshop management, project management and change management skills are essential, along with excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong presentation skills. Familiarity with implementation of Manufacturing Execution Systems and associated business benefits
- Ability to understand and align IT Architecture and business strategy with business solutions. Familiarity with Core MES applications. Project Management experience required, PMP certification a plus.
