The Clinical Research Nurse is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the activities of participants in oncology research protocols. The nurse works alongside principal investigators and co-investigators to ensure comprehensive care and adherence to protocol regulations. The position's primary role is navigation of patient care to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with each protocol. The research nurse will identify clinically significant events through patient assessments and review of medical documents. The research nurse establishes multidisciplinary collaboration for care of all clinical trial participants. The research nurse also plays a strong role in marketing and promotion of the oncology research program. Communication outside of the institution with sponsoring organizations and federal regulatory agencies is required. The research nurse requires independence and ability to make professional decisions regarding research activities.

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- BSN within 3 years of hire.
- RN License in the state PA in good standing
- 2-3 years of clinical research experience and protocol management experience preferred
- 3 years of oncology nursing experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, critical thinking skills.
- Public speaking and formal writing experience are desirable.
- Strong knowledge of research regulatory standards.
- Transportation to drive to physician offices or attend regulatory/other meetings.
LICENSE AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:
- Maintains current RN license in the start of PA in good standing
- Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) or Society of Clinical Research 5 Associates certification (SoCRA) preferred.
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred.
- Clinical Research Citi Training and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) required
