Research Nurse
JOB SUMMARY
The Research Nurse is responsible for performing care and executing clinical care to subjects participating in clinical trials when needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Minimum Work Experience
Required Licenses/Certifications
- RN or BSN, licensed in the state of Texas
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Knowledge of medical practices, terminology, and reimbursement policies.
- Thorough knowledge of nurse educator/advocacy tactics.
- Knowledge in overcoming barriers from diagnosis to treatment including: financial/economic, language/culture, transportation issues.
- Knowledge in microbiology and infectious disease.
- Skill in planning, organizing, delegating, and supervising.
- Skill in evaluating the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures.
- Skill in problem solving.
- Skill in verbal and written communication.
- Skill in speaking engagements and other activities that raise awareness to diseases and disease processes.
- Ability to read, interpret and apply policies and procedures.
- Ability to set priorities among multiple requests.
- Ability to interact with patients, medical and administrative staff, and the public effectively.
