SAP Senior Technical Specialist

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the creation of configuration specifications based on requirements for the SAP PLM/PPM solution
  • Assist in the development of design specifications to address functional gaps that need to be addressed in the solution
  • Engage appropriate resources as needed to ensure complete and accurate functional design specifications are defined
  • Responsible for the configuration, development and testing of the SAP PLM/PPM Solution
  • Assist the technical configuration team through all aspects of the project Software Development Lifecycle (waterfall or agile), including development, test, installation and production cutover
  • Assist in setting up data for testing purposes
  • Ability to work in a team environment, effectively interacting with others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with end-users and management

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelors in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent

Required Experience:

  • Min 5-7 years demonstrated technical experience with SAP ERP and/or SAP PLM and/or SAP PPM
  • Demonstrated experience in SAP material master, recipes and/or BOMs
  • Demonstrated experience in technical analysis and design
  • Experience in creating and reviewing SDLC documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills balanced with a creative mindset

Preferred Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) business processes, design principles, and best practices: preferably Specification Management, Product Structure, or Change Control processes 
  • Technical knowledge and experience in SAP S/4 PLM on HANA
  • Understanding of GxP and 21 CFR Part 11 regulations and guidelines
  • Agile/scrum experience
