Top executive responsible for steering the NCCT as the primary gateway for industry-sponsored clinical trials and real-world data & evidence (RWD&E) offerings within Advocate Health. Responsible for the formulation of long-range strategic plans / objectives and for overseeing all aspects of the business to ensure attainment of strategic and financial goals. Represents the NCCT in relations with its customers, partners, community and employees. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong background in business development, research operations, and strategic partnerships; capable of inspiring a culture of innovation, excellence, and differentiation in the market.
Job responsibilities
• Develop and guide the implementation of strategic plans to position the NCCT as a leader in clinical trials and RWD&E, driving both growth and profitability
• Oversee all financial, operational, and technological facets of the NCCT, including performance of key partners to ensure the organization meets performance targets and delivers high-quality service
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Advisory Council members to incorporate diverse perspectives and validate strategic initiatives
• Promote the NCCT at industry events and conferences, enhancing the organization's visibility and reputation for innovative approaches, exceptional client services, and capabilities to external audiences
• Foster a positive organizational culture that drives innovation, collaboration, and differentiation in the market, while maintaining the highest level of ethics and legal compliance
• Recruit and develop a high performing executive leadership team
• Keep abreast of the markets and industry trends to inform business decisions
Qualifications
• Proven leadership experience in research, healthcare, or pharmaceutical industries, preferably with a minimum of 15 years in senior executive roles with major clinical research organizations (CROs) or related services providers
• Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with a track record of developing and implementing strategies that drive growth and operational excellence
• Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, drug development, clinical research and pharma services, including regulatory & compliance requirements
• Previous working experience navigating within large, matrixed organizations as well as academic institution environments a plus
• A forward-thinking mindset with the ability to adapt to industry changes and drive innovation within the organization
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and stakeholder management abilities, capable of effectively engaging with internal teams, external partners, and industry stakeholders
• Proficiency in budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation with an ability to foster collaboration across departments and disciplines
• Advanced degrees in business administration or healthcare management are advantageous; Doctoral degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent) in a relevant scientific or medical field preferred
