JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position performs chemical and bacteriological analysis of wastewater; performs quality control analysis; prepares reagents and standard solutions; prepares lab reports and charts; accountable for all weekend lab responsibilities; monitors wastewater discharge for EPA permit compliance; communicates with staff to ensure wastewater process control. This is a full-time position, Wednesday through Sunday, 6:45 am to 3:45 pm, is part of the UAW Professional Collective Bargaining Unit, and provides an excellent work life balance. The position is grade 11, with an hourly rate not to exceed $28.97.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry or applicable environmental science plus a minimum of one year laboratory/relevant work experience
- Three (3) to five (5) years of related work experience; Experience considered in place of education
- Ability to carry 50 lb. wastewater sampler
- Must possess a valid driver's license
