Biomedical Field Service Technician
NextMed is recruiting self-starters with the drive for our Biomedical Field Services team. Our technicians provide premium services to our medical equipment to deliver excellent patient care.
The Field Service Technician is responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient servicing of Lithotripsy and Laser equipment. This position performs routine preventative maintenance on medical devices and equipment as well as trouble-shooting the emergency repair needs of the company. Frequent travel is required and paid for by the company. This role is of vital importance to patient care. A patient's well-being often depends on their ability to keep medical equipment operational, as proper functioning ensures consistent treatment, accurate monitoring, and the prevention of complications.
Responsibilities include:
• Performing preventative maintenance procedures on a variety of medical equipment
• Performing emergency repairs on a variety of medical equipment as needed
• Maintaining a knowledge and understanding of Great Plains Field Service Modules and all related equipment tracking software
• Researching and performing cost reductions projects as authorized by management
• Repairing various inventory items as directed by management
*Must be willing to travel within the states of TX, AR, LA, MS, and OK. This will include overnight stays. Will occasionally be asked to travel to the corporate office in AZ.
Qualifications include:
- An Associate's degree in Electronic Engineering or related degree; OR 3 years' work experience in a related work environment preferably with emphasis on electronic or medical equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation ("D.O.T.") physical examination and maintain a current D.O.T. Medical card.
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Must be able to push/pull a minimum of 100lbs
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; push/pull equipment upwards 50lbs; reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk, and hear.
