Shift: Days, Monday thru Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30PM

The role you'll contribute:

Responsible for providing technical support for environmental and biomedical issues in the surgical environment. This position ensures the overall management and maintenance of the surgical environment. Additionally, this role provides patient care support at the level of a Surgical Assistant as supervised by an RN. In addition, this position notifies the Surgery management team regarding environmental safety issues and responds to technical support needs intraoperatively on equipment such as lasers, video, and stealth. Responsibilities for this role include adhering to all applicable local, state, and federal regulations and participating in outstanding customer service.

  • Operates and troubleshoots surgical equipment such as lasers, video systems, and navigation systems during procedures.
  • Performs routine and emergency repairs on surgical equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
  • Conducts preventative maintenance on assigned equipment according to the designated schedule.
  • Assesses the need for repairs or improvements to the surgical environment and submits work orders accurately and completely.



Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :

  • Associate Degree, Required
  • 4+ years working experience in the electronics field or equivalent (i.e. medical instrumentation), Required
  • Ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively to carry out job requirements.
  • Working knowledge of the theory, operation, and repair of medical instrumentation and medical electronic systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems to the component level where applicable
