Quotient Sciences is looking for a Business Development Director to join our growing commercial team and lead business development activities across our Clinical Pharmacology division, with a particular focus on biologics.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to grow clinical pharmacology revenues within the biologics sector.
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities with biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including Clinical Development leaders, Chief Medical Officers, Outsourcing teams, and other senior stakeholders.
- Lead the full sales cycle, from initial prospecting through proposal development, contract negotiation, and award.
- Work closely with scientific, operational, project management, marketing, and legal teams to create tailored solutions that meet client needs.
- Position Quotient Sciences as a preferred partner for First-in-Human studies, Phase I clinical trials, and clinical pharmacology programmes.
- Expand relationships within existing accounts by identifying opportunities across the wider Quotient Sciences service portfolio.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities within the biologics and early development landscape.
- Represent Quotient Sciences at conferences, networking events, and industry meetings to build brand awareness and generate new leads.
What We're Looking For
- Proven business development experience within a Phase I CRO, Clinical Pharmacology CRO, or early clinical development environment.
- Demonstrated success selling First-in-Human, Clinical Pharmacology, or early-phase clinical research services to biotech and pharmaceutical clients.
- Strong understanding of biologics development, including areas such as monoclonal antibodies, RNA therapeutics, and oligonucleotide-based therapies.
- Track record of developing long-term client relationships and delivering commercial growth.
- Established network within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sector.
- Experience engaging with stakeholders at all levels, from scientific teams to executive leadership.
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Experience using Salesforce or equivalent CRM systems.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely while collaborating across global teams.
