Career Consultant for Engineering and Science (Chemical and Biological)

The Career Center at the University of Pittsburgh provides excellent services and resources to students "from start to finish" during their career journey. The Career Center is seeking a Career Consultant to work with Engineering students. The Career Consultant will provide personalized assistance to students/alums with career planning, internships, job search strategies, and graduate school preparation, as well as provide outreach and programming to the Swanson School of Engineering.

Duties of this position include individual appointments, walk-in appointments, workshops & programs, developing job search resources, outreach to residence halls and student organizations, and establishing contacts with faculty and academic advisors. The candidate should possess a working knowledge of career development issues relevant to Engineering majors. The consultant in this position will work with students of all class levels within majors including Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Environmental Engineering. This position aligns with the Personalized Education Initiative by providing individual assistance to Engineering students.
