Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Chemical Engineer to serve as a Process/Mechanical Engineering Owner's Representative on complex manufacturing facility projects. In this role, you will apply your expertise in water, wastewater, process chemical, and mechanical systems while working with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work with engineering and site teams to establish design requirements and advance construction documents for complex manufacturing tools and facilities infrastructure.
• Review specifications, P&IDs, layout drawings, details, equipment plans, vendor submittals, RFIs, and construction documents.
• Provide engineering oversight for piping and equipment supporting water, wastewater, and process chemical systems.
• Support retrofit projects involving engineering calculations, equipment and component sizing, selection, specification, construction support, and factory integration.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to move design and construction documentation through the review process.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• At least 5 years of practical wastewater treatment facilities engineering experience, with a focus on waste-system chemistry supporting semiconductor facilities.
• At least 3 years of chemical or mechanical facilities engineering experience, including ultrapure water, chemical distribution, gas distribution, process piping, exhaust, plumbing, waste drains, pumps, tank storage/design, or related systems.
• At least 3 years of engineering design and project-delivery experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organization, prioritization, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with complex semiconductor manufacturing tools through their manufacture, installation, or use in cleanroom environments.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• At least 3 years of field experience.
• EIT or PE license.
• A forward-thinking approach, eagerness to learn, and interest in buildings and construction systems.

WORK ARRANGEMENT

This is primarily a remote position. The selected candidate will work onsite approximately 50% of the first month, then generally one week onsite per month thereafter.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This role includes field visits at active construction sites. Candidates must be able to walk long distances; sit and stand for extended periods; bend, stoop, twist, crawl, climb ladders, work on catwalks and in small spaces; and lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

WORK AUTHORIZATION

Candidates must be able to complete a background check and drug screen. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment sponsorship. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
