Job Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated Chemist to join their team. The incumbent will focus on day-to-day laboratory operations, including analyzing quality control samples, ensuring adherence to approved test methods, and supporting the QA/QC organization by aiding in investigations of laboratory testing issues. The role requires developing standard operating procedures and test methods in a laboratory environment, planning and responding to analytical needs, and maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze Quality Control Samples including Raw Material, In-Process, Finished Product, Stability, Validation, and Special Samples.
• Ensure approved test methods are followed and proper documentation of laboratory raw data is maintained.
• Plan for and respond to the analytical needs of the laboratory to meet manufacturing deadlines.
• Ensure proper sorting and disposal of hazardous waste and maintain the chemical cleanliness of all work areas.
• Assist weekly in laboratory supply and reagent inventory.
• Aid in investigations of laboratory testing issues and recommend potential solutions.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in knowledge of FDA regulations, GMP/GLP/GCP, Lean Manufacturing, Six-Sigma, etc.
• Understanding of laboratory Standard Operating Procedures relating to instrument use, sample analysis, and personal and environmental safety.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to pass a DEA background check.

Experience

• 3+ years of laboratory experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical chemistry laboratory.
