Chemist

At ChromaScape, our chemists don't just test products. They help create them.

We're looking for a hands-on Chemist who enjoys solving technical problems, developing new formulations, and turning laboratory data into practical solutions for our customers and manufacturing teams. If you like spending your day in the lab, asking questions, experimenting, and improving products through science, we'd like to meet you.

What you'll do...

You'll spend your time balancing laboratory work, technical problem solving, and project ownership. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead development of new dispersion formulations from concept through laboratory validation.
  • Design and execute laboratory experiments and evaluate product performance.
  • Analyze laboratory data to identify trends, relationships, and technical opportunities.
  • Troubleshoot formulation and processing challenges.
  • Evaluate raw materials for technical performance and commercial application.
  • Partner with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and commercial teams to move projects forward.
  • Prepare technical documentation and communicate project findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Help maintain a safe, organized, and well-functioning laboratory.

We're probably a good fit if you...

  • Enjoy being in the lab and like figuring out why something worked...or why it didn't.
  • Can balance multiple projects without losing sight of the details.
  • Like collaborating with people from different functions to solve technical challenges.
  • Can explain technical concepts in a way that others can understand.

What we're looking for...

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
  • Industrial laboratory experience developing or supporting formulated products.
  • Experience with pigment dispersions, inks, coatings, or similar formulation environments is preferred.
  • Strong laboratory, formulation, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to manage projects independently and make data-driven decisions.

Why ChromaScape?

We're a company where chemists stay close to the science and close to the business.

At ChromaScape, your work doesn't end with a successful lab result. You'll help develop products that move into manufacturing, solve customer challenges, and make a measurable impact. Working alongside manufacturing, quality, supply chain, commercial teams, and colleagues, you'll have the opportunity to contribute across a variety of products while continuing to grow your technical expertise.
