Job Description: Temp to Support Analytical Department (R&I)
Start date: April 1st (approx.)
Length of assignment: 6 months
Work hours per day: 8 hours (Monday through Friday; 40 hours/week)
Interview Process: Teams (other arrangements possible as needed)
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs Quantitative and Qualitative analysis of samples ranging from raw materials to finished products using chromatographic methods (HPLC [a must have], GC-preferred).
- Perform general troubleshooting and maintenance for HPLC and GC based instrumentation.
- Collects, process and interpret data accurately, derive conclusions based on sound science, and prepare technical reports to effectively communicate results and findings to key stakeholders.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changes, delays, or other unexpected events, and prioritize the work to ensure on time delivery of results.
- Adhere to written procedures and laboratory practices to ensure good quality, compliance, and safety.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (analytical chemistry focus preferred), or related field, with +2 years of professional experience.
- Working knowledge of HPLC (is a must have) and GC.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse environment to manage multiple requests and meet timelines.
- Self-starter with the ability to learn new techniques and chemistry.
- Strong attention to details, high level of motivation, initiative, and sense of urgency.
- Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Empower (a must have) MassHunter (preferred) and ChemStation (preferred).
