Position Summary:
The Chemist C position is an introductory position in which the Chemist will be primarily responsible for assisting or performing analytical testing on Raw materials and finished products. The Chemist will be responsible for utilizing laboratory equipment while following SOP's and ensuring GMP regulations are followed.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
- Perform and/or assist with analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Utilize analytical laboratory instrumentation with supervision.
- Comply with cGMP regulations and follow all standard operating procedures.
- Peer review data generated by other technicians.
- Other related duties as required.

Qualifications:
Education / Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related discipline is required.
Required Knowledge:
- Basic Chemistry Laboratory skills
- Basic knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Desire and ability to work in a positive team environment.
Experience Required:
- 0-2 years' experience in a chemistry laboratory.
- 0-2 years' experience with analytical instrumentation, such as HPLC, GC, CE, ICP, FTIR, TOC, MS, and dissolution apparatus.

- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and effectively perform concurrent tasks with minimal supervision.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times, stressful environment.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Physical Activities and Requirements of this Position:
Finger Dexterity:
Using fingers and palm on an object to complete laboratory bench work.
Talking:
Be able to communicate effectively and accurately with your team and supervisor to ensure laboratory safety and SOPs are being followed
Average Hearing:
Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
Repetitive Motions:
Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Average Visual Abilities:
Average, ordinary, visual activity necessary to inspect, prepare documents and products and operate laboratory equipment. Should be able to accurately differentiate colors.
Physical Strength:
Frequent walking and standing and occasional sitting. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasional bending, squatting.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an analytical laboratory while wearing appropriate PPE including but not limited to laboratory coats, lab glasses, gloves, pants, and close toed shoes at all times. Closely work with other Chemists to ensure quality work is completed in a safe environment.
