CLINICAL RESEARCH COORDINATOR I
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Institute for Cancer Outcomes & Survivorship, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator I.
General Responsibilities
- To serve as coordinator for studies and provide support to other team members within the confines of the protocol as directed.
- To support screening and participant eligibility determination, working with more senior team members to ensure compliance.
- To conduct activities in accordance with the protocol, regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
- To assist with the study life cycle from start-up to closure, i.e., collecting and recording data, recruiting and performing follow-up with participants, scheduling visits and assisting in coordination of lab and fieldwork.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Collects and records preliminary data for clinical research programs. Recruits and performs follow-up.
- Assists in coordination of lab and fieldwork. Prepares for study monitoring visits. Assists with correcting findings
- Assists with the completion of Case Report Forms (CRF) according to protocol.
- Assists with development of protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data quality assurance.
- Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of the latest trends in the field of outcomes research.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Annual Salary Range: $43,890 - $71,320
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required.
Preferences
Clinical trials coordinator experience.
2 years of related research, science, or math experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Ability to problem solve

- Data analysis skills
- Interpersonal skills: written and verbal communication skills
- Project management skills
