Position Summary
Assists Principal Investigator (PI) as coordinator of a basic to moderately complex clinical research study; may be responsible for multiple research studies simultaneously, acting as a liaison with the school, sponsoring agency, community and the study participants; responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- IRB support
- Assist the PI in drafting study protocols; ensures compliance with protocol guidelines and requirements of regulatory agencies; establishes record-keeping systems; resolves protocol management issues and recommends corrective action as appropriate; serves as liaison with project participants, research administration staff, and funding or sponsoring agency.
- Financial oversight
- Assists the PI and pre-award team with drafting project budgets and budget justifications
- Supports the PI in oversight of budget utilization for each research project
- Orders gifts cards for study participants; orders meal for project events; arranges transportation for project participants; submits receipts for reimbursement, including participant compensation; maintains necessary tax records
- Project infrastructure and data management
- Assists with compliance related to assent/consent procedures
- Manages research team meeting schedules; schedules meetings with community partners, participant interviews/focus groups/group sessions; reserves rooms for group meetings; sends reminders to participants before meeting dates
- Coordinates copying, printing, and mailing of study-related materials
- Ensures availability of materials (e.g., nametags, flipcharts, writing instruments) for research team meetings and study sessions
- Creates surveys in REDCap; distributes surveys to participants and tracks completion; generate data quality checks; provides quarterly data summaries; maintains data dictionaries, codebooks, and other study metadata
- Drafts facilities, resources, and related documents for grant submissions
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary Range
$22.78 - $34.21 / Hourly
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
