Clinical Research Coordinator II - Institute for Translational Epidemiology - ISM

Job Description

This is a full-time position within the Institute for Translational Epidemiology.

The Institute for Translational Epidemiology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai includes an articulated program in epidemiologic research that connects to clinical, basic, and applied research programs within the Mount Sinai Health System. The vision is to advance interdisciplinary and patient-oriented research and to contribute to translational and integrative research at the School of Medicine.

Faculty within the Institute are committed to expanding the role of epidemiology in clinical research, and the presence of several world-class clinical and research programs makes Mount Sinai an ideal setting to establish a strong epidemiology research program to complement existing clinical and preventive activities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of research and data collection activities
  • Consent, instruct, and coordinate research participants as appropriate to specific study objectives and work scope
  • Enter, manage, and maintain accurate study data in REDCap, ensuring data integrity and compliance with protocols and regulatory standards
  • Perform statistical analyses, creating summaries and presenting results to collaborators
  • Coordinate project tasks and timelines, with both internal and external collaborators to ensure efficient study execution
  • Complete Institutional Review Board submissions, continuing reviews, modifications, and final reviews
  • Organize monthly research seminars for the Tisch Cancer Center
  • Write text for study reports to be incorporated in abstracts, manuscripts and grants
  • Assist with the development of grants to support the PIs by conducting literature review and preliminary data analyses
  • Assist in student mentorship, and with coordinating volunteers

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in sciences or related field.
  • 2 years of clinical research
  • MPH degree
  • Proficiency with using R, SAS or Stata
  • Experience using REDCap
  • Experience using EPIC
  • Experience with statistical analysis
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with research participants
