Director of Facilities Engineering - Berkshire Medical Center, Engineering, Shift: Day, 40 hrs.
Direct responsibility for Facilities Engineering and Maintenance, Building Life Safety, New Construction & Renovation Project Planning Management for Berkshire Medical Center and all other BHS-owned locations. Proactive participation in strategic planning with a focus on project management skills, analytic ability, sound judgment, and strong operational focus. Manage & organize financial operating budgets for several departments. Lead staff effectively and function as a role model of collegiality and effectively as it relates to people at all levels within the organization.
Experience:
- A minimum of five years of progressively responsible leadership experience in healthcare facilities is preferred. Operations/construction management within an automated systems Health Care setting work environment is preferred. Experience in successfully managing and implementing large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders and demonstrated mentoring, excellent facilitation, and conflict resolution skills are also desired.
Education and Training:
- Bachelor's of Engineering required
- Minimum of five years responsibility at a Director level in areas of engineering, maintenance and construction for Healthcare Facility Planning or a related field.
License, Certification & Registration:
- MA Construction Supervisor License (unrestricted), or Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Designs, implements, and maintains processes and documentation to ensure compliance with Joint Commission Utility Management, Environment of Care, and Life Safety standards as well as other regulatory requirements. Co-chairs the Environment of Care Committee.
