Environmental Health & Safety Engineer I

What We're Looking For:

The Environmental Health & Safety Engineer coordinates environmental health and safety policies, completes workplace and equipment inspections and implements and manage workplace safety programs.

What You Will Do:

  • Ensuring compliance: Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations
  • Managing programs: Managing EHS programs, policies, and procedures
  • Training employees: Coordinating occupational safety training for employees
  • Responding to emergencies: Responding to EHS emergencies
  • Conducting inspections: Completing workplace and equipment inspections
  • Investigating incidents: Conducting employee incident investigations
  • Monitoring exposure: Monitoring exposure to hazardous chemicals
  • Tracking incidents: Tracking the number of incidents and producing reports
  • Collaborating with departments: Working collaboratively with different departments to ensure workplace safety
  • Oversees all Hazardous Chemical processing of waste in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Assisting with government inspections: Assisting with any government inspections
  • Manage and complete all waste streams based on all EPA regulations
  • Lead internal Safety Committee
  • Work Cross functional with department heads to ensure compliance



Who You Are:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree
  • Specialization in Occupational Safety and Health, or Environmental Health, Environmental Sciences
  • RCRA Certification
  • DOT Hazmat Certification
  • OSHA Certification
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
