The Payload Launch Sites Support Services (PLSSS) Program provides all launch processing support functions for Office of Space Launch (OSL). One of the program's two primary operating locations is Cape Canaveral, FL. Key elements of the PLSSS program scope include satellite launch processing, satellite transport operations, satellite propellant loading operations, and satellite processing facilities O&M, clean room operations, and safety and environmental services.
In this position you will be part of an
Environmental Safety & Health (ESH) team
supporting operations in satellite processing and
launch preparation activities. This position
requires a broad safety background to include
working knowledge with Environmental, OSHA
programs, and Operations Safety. Your
responsibilities will include:
• Participating in the recognition, evaluation, and
control of environmental and safety hazards
arising in or from the workplace or facility
• Conducting internal compliance audits
• Conducting evaluations of compliance
• Annual recordkeeping
• Training and other non-routine ESH projects as needed
• Assist with emergency response activities.
• Provides waste management and support for internal and external customers.
• Writes and updates environmental and safety processes and procedures.
• Performs and documents Job Hazard Analyses.
• Provides supporting data for all new or existing permits and renewals.
• Provides input to federal, state and county regulators through customer coordination.
• Provides field support for operations and maintenance activities.
• Works closely with other disciplines such as engineering, O&M technicians, and quality to ensure a compliant, safe, and healthful workplace
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
• Knowledge of OSHA and/or EPA regulations
• Experience in ESH subject areas (for example: confined spaces, lock out/tag out, electrical safety, powered industrial trucks, hazardous waste, air reporting)
• Must be able to work on-call and varied shifts on occasion
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance

assignments are required for this position
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written,
and verbal communication skills
• Master's degree in an ESH related discipline
• Experience in payload processing activities (payload transportation, propellant operations, ordnance, etc.)
• Able to work with internal and external customers to include supporting associate contractors
• Current operations experience working Space Flight Hardware and ground support systems
• Background knowledge in propellant operations, ordnance, and payload transport
• Current experience performing ESH functions for the contract and missions
• Experience with OSHA programs such as Lockout Tagout, Electrical, Respiratory Protection, Fall Protection, Hazard Communication, Aerial Work platforms, Crane operations, Accident investigation, Recordkeeping, Lead and Asbestos, etc.
• Experience with environmental programs such as Air, Water, Chemical and Hazardous Waste Management
• Active TS/SCI w/Poly

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $63,800 - $112,470. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $73,400 - $127,075. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
