ESG Lead

Job Overview

The ESG lead is responsible for ensuring IQVIA is fully compliant with legislation / regulations related to ESG disclosure and reporting requirements across all IQVIA business locations. The position is internal and external facing and requires a broad knowledge of the IQVIA business to facilitate client engagement, support of account teams, and enable the production of the annual ESG Report and other disclosures.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for leadership and effective management of the corporate ESG Program and implementation of initiatives to develop IQVIA ESG capabilities and maintain IQVIA's ESG leadership position in line with external stakeholder expectations.
• Formation and leadership of the ESG Working Group of functional leaders. Set and agree targets and KPI's, monitor progress, and lead the Working Group engagement with the ESG Executive Steering Committee.
• Measurement and tracking of emissions reduction and supplier engagement targets against validated science-based targets on an annual basis at a minimum.
• Seek continual improvement of ESG ratings including external investor ratings agencies (ISS, MSCI, Sustainalytics), and IQVIA participation of Ecovadis and CDP.
• Lead engagement with the UN Global Compact. Produce the annual Communication on Progress and lead the internal review process including sign-off by Legal and the CEO.
• Lead the production of the annual IQVIA ESG Report, coordinating appointed consultants, internal marketing & communications and creative teams, engagement with internal contributors and content owners.
• Develop and maintain working relationships with customer account teams and sales teams across IQVIA to facilitate development of ESG knowledge, sharing of ESG information on Sales Spot and with regional Marketing & Comms teams.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and reporting across all IQVIA locations at all times.
• Develop the overarching ESG Strategy and Roadmap, mapping out how IQVIA will meet near term targets and the long term need to become a net-zero business.
• Support responses to RFI's and RFP's, review content to ensure alignment with approved ESG statements and that latest information is being used.
• Participate as a Team Captain in the Lean for Sustainability program to help develop awareness and engagement across IQVIA

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience developing the relevant skills
• Requires basic knowledge of ESG principles typically obtained through education or prior employment
• Bachelor's Degree in Sustainability / Environmental Science / Business Management with ESG modules.
• Relevant ESG experience in a corporate environment
• Demonstrable knowledge of ESG frameworks, standards and trends is required or willingness and interest to learn
• Good knowledge of ESG regulations and legislation across multiple jurisdictions
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients
