Exercise Physiologist
Position Summary
The Exercise Specialist implements the comprehensive outpatient Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehab program, which also includes the maintenance program. The exercise specialist also serves as a resource for both the hospital and the community.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
• Oversees the activities of patients participating in the cardiac, pulmonary rehab and maintenance programs
• Documents in a clear and legible manner
• Recognizes and integrates patient special needs and individualizes care
• Maintains a therapeutic relationship with patients, family and significant others while providing care
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology
• Previous heart monitoring / telemetry / EKG experience
• Previous experience in exercise & strength training
• Prior Cardio Pulmonary Rehab Experience Preferred
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association; ACLS obtained within one year of employment
• Ability to Walk/Stand and Lift/Push/Pull for Extended Periods of Time
• Medical Terminology Experience
• Strong Interpersonal/Organizational/Communication Skills
Salary Range: $23.16- $31.20 hourly (based on experience)
