External Affairs & Institutional Engagement Consultant

Location: Athens

Work type: hybrid (2-3 days/week office-based)

The External Affairs & Institutional Engagement Consultant is responsible for building, managing, and leading the Payer, Provider, Government (PPG) engagements.

Successful individual will report to General Manager of Greece and play a critical role in the creation and execution of PPG to maximize the adoption of IQVIA within the market.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify the need for insightful, value-added solutions among Payer, Provider and Government, as well as the key persons in the decision-making process.
  • Build IQVIA Human Data Science branding & positioning among Payer, Provider and Government networks.
  • Proactively mobilize Institutions around Human Data Science themes.
  • Qualify as "Top of the Mind" partner & provider for key items in the political agenda.
  • Develops relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers within assigned accounts; seeks out and identifies new revenue opportunities at existing and potential clients/ stakeholders.
  • Be able to understand changes in the regulatory & business environment and identify the relevant risks and opportunities.
  • Build relations with PAGs, promote IQVIA, identify needs and help orchestrate initiatives to promote common goals.
  • Map agendas and assess fit with IQVIA capabilities.
  • Supports quotation and proposal efforts to partners, prospects, and customers.
  • Serves as point of contact, internally and externally, by applying consultative problem-solving skills.



Requirements:

  • Typically requires 7-11 years' experience in managing Public Health programs in developing and implementing strategies for public and private sector engagement as an individual contributor.
  • Successful track record of managing (planning and delivery) of complex, interdisciplinary projects.
  • Preferred candidates will have experience in business-to-business selling and managing using a consultative sales approach and will have strong demonstrated partnering and closing skills.
  • Have very good understanding of Greek health system and private health sector including hospitals, physician associates (incl. oncologists, neurologist, dermatologists, rheumatologists) pharmaceutical industry, health insurance, and others, exceptional knowledge of healthcare authorities' infrastructure and agencies.
  • Must have expertise around healthcare authorities' procurement and the various buying vehicles to enable growth in software sales via our distribution partners; understanding of execution modalities of European funded projects will be an asset.

  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Fluent in Greek and English
