POSITIONSUMMARY:
The Dembowski lab atDuquesne University in the Department of Biological Sciences is hiring alaboratory technician.
This is agrant funded position.
DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conductexperiments
General labmaintenance
Order supplies
Completes other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry,biochemistry, or related field from an accredited educational institution and1-2 years of laboratory experience with molecular and cell biologicaltechniques.
Thecandidate should be organized, reliable, and able to work independently aftersome initial training.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with gene cloning, PCR,western blot analysis, and aseptic techniques is preferred.
Alternatively,the successful candidate may possess any equivalent combination of experienceand training, which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required toperform the essential job functions.
Ability toestablish and maintain effective working relationships with the UniversityCommunity.
