Position Overview

Primary Purpose of Position

The primary responsibilities for this position include teaching chemical engineering courses, supporting research program, student advising, mentoring and recruitment, conducting scholarly activities, and all other activities required for a successful academic career. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, engaging in accreditation procedures, program assessment, and service to the department, College, and University as needed.

This is a 12-month, non-tenure-track faculty position.

The College of Engineering, with over 2,800 students, has EAC ABET accredited undergraduate programs in Architectural, Bio-, Biological, Civil, Chemical, Computer, Electrical, Industrial, and Mechanical Engineering, as well as a CAC ABET-accredited program in Computer Science. On the Graduate level, the College has 8 Masters of Science Degree programs, and 5 Doctoral programs. The 5 research cluster areas of the College of Engineering (COE) are Autonomous Systems, Cybersecurity and Resilience, Energy and Sustainability, Healthcare Applications and Complex Systems and Networks. The Department of Chemical, Biological & Bioengineering (CBBE) is responsible for implementing and assessing its nationally ranked and accredited programs in Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, and Bioengineering. The department offers or will offer BS, MS, and PhD programs. The CBBE department has approximately 400 undergraduate students and graduate students. Minimum Requirements

Lecturer: B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering

Teaching Assistant Professor: B.S. in Chemical Engineering and Ph.D. in a related field

Preferred: Industrial experience in a chemical-related industry

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education

Experience in a chemical-related industry is highly desirable.
