Course: Medical Device Design and Development

This course introduces students in the Biomedical Engineering master's degree to the process of modern medical device design and production. Students work in-class in teams to design, build, and test devices to solve problems as presented by the instructor. Homework and exams cover key topics and touch points to make sure students understand the process not only from an engineering perspective but a clinical need and industrial approach as well.

What You Will Do:

  • Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
  • Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
  • Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University

Qualifications:

Minimum: PhD in Bioengineering or Biomedical Engineering. Experience in design, medical device development, regulatory and intellectual property related topics preferred.
