Job Description:
Vitalant is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientists or experienced Medical Lab Technician to bring skilled technical support to our specialty blood component manufacturing/high complexity testing reference laboratories.

What to Expect
Schedule: Days 6:00 AM -4:30 PM Wednesday - Saturday (works four 10-hour shifts).
Will work occasional on call and holidays

Base Wage: $38.00- 48.00 Medical Lab Scientist I - III (see requirements below)

As a Med Lab Scientist, you'll get to
- Perform high complexity testing in immunohematology, including antibody identification, antigen typing, absorptions, elution, and cross match.
- Review and report test results, participate in investigative studies, participate in quality control, preventative maintenance, and validations.

Experience
Medical Lab Scientist I
- 0-2 years of relevant laboratory experience meeting Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist educational requirements and certification OR
- 5 years or more experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician (with associate's degree in MLT) and certification.
- Pay: $38.00/hour
Medical Lab Scientist II
- MLS/BB certification required.
- 2 years in a clinical laboratory setting required.
- Pay: $41/hour - $43/hour
Medical Lab Scientist III
- SBB certification preferred. MLS/BB certification required.
- 3 years lab experience with 1-year IRL required.
- 2 years lead/charge experience required.
- Pay $45.00/hour - $48.00/hour
