Medical Laboratory Scientist Trainee Position Requirements
The Medical Laboratory Scientist Trainee will coordinate and perform tasks and activities in the assigned laboratory section under direction of a technologist or supervisor. The MLS I performs a variety of routine sample preparation, inventory, administrative tasks, and the performance, evaluation, and correlation of test procedures in accordance with written policies and procedures. The MLS I communicates information to the appropriate authorized personnel.
Medical Laboratory Scientist I (MLS I) Position Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, or biological field of study from an accredited institution.

Medical Laboratory Scientist Trainee Work Schedule
- The Laboratory is staffed seven days a week, twenty-four hours per day.
- Personnel may be assigned to work mostly one shift or may have a rotational schedule consisting of duty on day, evening and night shifts. Both options may include weekends.
- Rotational coverage of holidays.
- Expected to work overtime and/or additional weekends in times of staffing shortages, emergencies and unexpected increases in workload.
- Expected to respond in the event of a disaster.

Salary range:$24.41-$37.84 Commensurate with experience
