Medical Science Liaison - Nationwide

Company Overview

Pancreatic cancer remains one of the deadliest solid tumors, in part because tumors resist drug uptake from systemic chemotherapy while patients absorb its full toxicity. RenovoRx, Inc. (Nasdaq: RNXT), headquartered in Mountain View, California, addresses that problem with its patented Trans-Arterial Micro-Perfusion (TAMP™) therapy platform, which delivers therapeutic agents across the arterial wall directly at the tumor site. The platform is enabled by RenovoCath®, an FDA-cleared drug-delivery device that entered commercial use in December 2024 and was active at 21 U.S. cancer centers by mid-2026, including City of Hope and Moffitt Cancer Center. RenovoRx's lead drug-device combination candidate, intra-arterial gemcitabine (IAG), completed enrollment in the Phase III TIGeR-PaC trial in locally advanced pancreatic cancer in August 2026 and holds FDA Orphan Drug Designation for pancreatic and bile duct cancer. The company's field sales team works primarily with interventional radiologists; the Medical Science Liaison is RenovoRx's first, extending its scientific reach to the medical, surgical, and radiation oncologists who drive referral and treatment decisions.

Job Overview

As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL), you will serve as a scientific and clinical expert, building trusted relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs), mostly medical, surgical, and radiation oncologists, to develop these physicians and their staff into TAMP experts across academic and community settings locally, regionally, and nationally. You will bridge scientific evidence and clinical practice, deliver impactful medical education, and generate actionable field insights. You will report to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and partner with the management team.

As the company's first MSL, you will do more than answer questions in meetings others have arranged. RenovoRx is looking for someone who will proactively identify and gain access to key oncology decision-makers at high-volume cancer centers, engage them peer-to-peer on Phase III oncology data relative to the standard of care, and challenge assumptions with evidence. This is a scientific role with an entrepreneurial, door-opening mindset, working closely alongside the sales team.

This is a high-visibility, cross-functional role suited to an entrepreneurial, intellectual, and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is motivated by the impact of their work on patient outcomes. As the medical affairs field function grows, this role offers the opportunity to help build and lead it.

Products

  • TAMP™ therapy platform: Designed for targeted therapeutic delivery across the arterial wall near the tumor site to bathe the target tumor, while potentially minimizing a therapy's toxicities versus systemic intravenous therapy.
  • RenovoCath®: Patented, FDA-cleared dual-occlusion drug-delivery catheter indicated for temporary vessel occlusion in applications including arteriography, preoperative occlusion, and chemotherapeutic drug infusion. In commercial use since December 2024, with first commercial use beyond pancreatic cancer in sarcoma.
  • IAG (intra-arterial gemcitabine via RenovoCath): Investigational drug-device combination evaluated by the FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research under a U.S. IND (21 CFR 312). The Phase III TIGeR-PaC trial in locally advanced pancreatic cancer requires 114 randomized patients; enrollment closed in August 2026, with trial completion expected in 2027.
  • Interim Phase III data: The first interim analysis of TIGeR-PaC showed a 6-month median overall survival trend and an 8-month median progression-free survival difference (15 vs. 7 months) versus IV gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel, along with a greater than 65% reduction in adverse events.
  • PK/PD evidence: A peer-reviewed TIGeR-PaC sub-study reported approximately 51% tumor-site drug extraction and decreased systemic exposure with TAMP delivery.
  • Orphan Drug Designations: Gemcitabine delivered via RenovoCath for pancreatic and bile duct cancer, and oxaliplatin for pancreatic cancer, each carrying seven years of market exclusivity upon FDA approval.
