Job Title: Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist (Blood Bank)
Location: Lawrenceville, GA 30046
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift (8:00 PM - 6:30 AM, schedule may vary)
Position Overview:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist specializing in Blood Bank for a 13-week assignment. This role involves performing complex laboratory testing and analysis to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform blood bank testing, including compatibility testing and antibody identification
- Conduct specimen analysis with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ensure proper operation and calibration of laboratory equipment
- Follow established laboratory protocols, safety standards, and quality controls
- Document and report test results in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Blood Bank or relevant specialty
- Active certification from one of the following: ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, or HHS
- Strong knowledge of clinical laboratory procedures and standards
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a clinical or hospital laboratory setting
Additional Information:
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
- Only Medical Technologists and Medical Laboratory Scientists will be considered
- Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLTs) are not eligible for this role
