The Division of Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Preventive Medicine, within the Department of Internal Medicine, is seeking a Clinical Trials Operations Manager for the HOMES project.This project is being funded by the State of New Mexico in cooperation with theDepartment of Workforce Solutions. This position will oversee and execute allaspects of the study including multi agency recruitment, training, datacollection, and reporting.
This study will seek to ascertain the needs and conditionsof unhoused populations in New Mexico, engaging a partnership network thatspans academic institutions, community health services, and government bodies.The study aims to provide actionable data to inform targeted interventions bycommunity and public health groups, clinical organizations, and academicinstitutions.
This position will serve a key role by overseeing andadministering all facets of the day-to-day operations, serve as a liaison withinternal and external constituencies on all matters relating to studyactivities.
The Department of Internal Medicine is a large, progressivedepartment with a diverse staff working in dedicated teams to provide qualitywork in an organized, effective, and efficient manner through innovation,training, and education. Through our collaborative work effort, we support thefaculty and enhance the missions of the department, school, Health SciencesCenter, and University.

Conditions of Employment
- National certification from Association of Clinical Research Professionals or Society of Clinical Research Associates is required to oversee Phase III clinical trials.
- New Mexico licensure as a Registered Nurse may be a requirement for some positions in this classification.
Minimum Qualifications
Successful completion of at least 60 college-level credit hours; at least 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with engaging communitystakeholders
- Experience managing clinical trials research
- Experiencewith vulnerable populations, particularly the substanceusing population
- Experienceorganizing a multidisciplinary team
- Training and experience with reporting toexternal funding agencies
- Experiencein training multiple clinical sites on protocol adherence
