Position Summary:
The associate will participate and contribute to the pharmacology lab, to support the discovery and optimization of novel therapeutic candidates for genetic medicines.
What You'll Do:
- Prepare various tissues for in vitro analysis and biomarker evaluation (RNA, qPCR, to start)
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Preclinical, toxicology, PK/PD modelling) to ensure the translation from discovery to development.
- Independently analyze, interpret, and communicate results to internal stakeholders and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
What You'll Need:
- Experience with ex-vivo assays is a plus such as cell culture (mammalian), ELISAs, WB, and histology techniques.
- Passion, knowledge and experience in neuroscience or rare disease research
- Strong analytic thinking skills. Demonstrated ability to articulate issues, and extract and synthesize complex issues into key focus.
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills. Proven record to collaborate and network across a wide variety of functions and work effectively with internal and external partners.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, meet deadlines, maintain detailed documentation, and prioritize work on multiple projects.
Required Qualifications:
- BS or MS in biology or related disciplines with 2-5 years of relevant experience (academic or industry).
