Results-driven Laboratory Chemist specializing in oilfield production chemistry, with expertise in corrosion and scale evaluation under simulated field conditions. Experienced in designing, executing, and interpreting complex dynamic and static laboratory tests that are predominantly intellectual in nature and require the consistent exercise of discretion and professional scientific judgment to support chemical product development and field performance optimization. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, conduct, and interpret corrosion and scale inhibition testing using dynamic and static methodologies
- Operate and maintain specialized equipment including Rotating Cylinder Electrode (RCE), Linear Polarization Resistance (LPR), Rotating Cage Autoclave (RCA), and Dynamic Scale Loop (DSL) systems
- Perform static bottle tests for scale inhibition, compatibility, and chemical screening
- Perform other various specialized testing including cold finger testing, FTIR, and various other bench chemistry methods in support of analysis, troubleshooting, and development
- Analyze electrochemical data to determine corrosion rates and inhibitor performance
- Simulate field conditions (HPHT, flow regimes, brine compositions) to evaluate chemical effectiveness
- Interpret experimental results and provide guidance for product selection and optimization
- Troubleshoot test anomalies and refine procedures to improve data quality and repeatability
- Collaborate with field engineers, sales teams, and R&D to support customer projects
- Maintain detailed laboratory records, reports, and data integrity in compliance with company standards
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and proper handling of hazardous chemicals.

- Experience in oil & gas production chemistry or flow assurance

- Responsible for performing job duties in compliance with RCRA hazardous waste requirements, including proper handling, labeling, storage, and management of hazardous waste in accordance with applicable procedures and training.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- Hands-on experience with corrosion and scale testing in oilfield or industrial water treatment applications
- Strong understanding of electrochemical testing techniques (LPR, RCE)
- Familiarity with high-pressure/high-temperature (HPHT) testing environments
- Ability to independently design experiments and interpret complex datasets
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting (Excel, lab software, or similar tools)
- Familiarity and ability to work in a lab environment
