Position Overview:

Join a nationally accredited Cancer Care Institute in Davenport, IA as a Medical Physicist in a high-performing, collaborative, and technologically advanced radiation oncology program. Work with a dedicated team to deliver safe, cutting-edge care in an environment designed for both patient and professional success.

Practice Highlights:

• Call Schedule: 1:2 (No weekends)
• Team-Based Culture: 2 Physicists, 2 Dosimetrists, 8 Radiation Therapists, 3 RNs
• Patient Volume: ~35 patients daily across two linear accelerators
• Collaborative Setting: Integrated with Medical Oncology & supportive care staff

Technology & Treatment:

• Equipment: Varian TrueBeam & TomoTherapy Hi-Art
• Modalities: IMRT, SBRT, SRS, DIBH, SGRT, Gating, 3D Conformal
• Software: Eclipse, TomoPlan, ARIA

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and oversee therapeutic radiological physics services
• Lead and support QA activities, including patient-specific and linear accelerator QA
• Collaborate in treatment planning and equipment commissioning
• Ensure safety standards in compliance with regulatory agencies
• Participate in interdisciplinary coordination and technology integration

Candidate Requirements:
• Board Certified (ABR/ABMP) or Board Eligible (must achieve certification per timeline)
• Experience in QA, commissioning, and clinical treatment planning - Preferred
