Professor of Process Science and Technology - Chemical Engineering - Fall 2027

Description

The McKetta Department of Chemical Engineering at The University of Texas Austin is seeking to fill a senior faculty position, with a focus on industry-relevant research and teaching for reaction and/or separation processes and technologies at scale. Research focused on related machine learning and computational approaches, as well as modern high throughput experimentation platforms would also be well received. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader who can bring together collaborative teams from academia and industry, advancing translational research that utilizes the University's recent multi-million-dollar pilot-scale investments at the Process Science and Technology Center.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in chemical engineering or a closely related discipline with a record in academic research and experience with industry-academia partnerships. Appointments will be at the Associate/Full Professor, with tenure considered based on qualifications.

Successful candidates are expected to mentor graduate students, teach our diverse undergraduate and graduate student populations, sustain a vibrant externally sponsored research program, collaborate with other faculty from a wide range of backgrounds, and be involved in service to the university and profession.
