JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a motivated individual with a background in protein science or related field to join our dynamic and collaborative protein production team. You will lead the execution of production process capable of delivering milligram quantities of the required proteins. This role offers the opportunity for the successful candidate to gain hands on experience and knowledge in vector design, recombinant protein expression and purification.
KEY ACCOUNTIBILITIES:
- Execute protein design and engineering, antibody generation and optimization, including vector design, cell transfection and protein purification process.
- Design and conduct recombinant protein construction, expression, purification and characterization.
- Establish protein production workflow across diverse protein classifications in both non-antibody and antibody categories.
- Analyze and summarize data, write, and present report to upper management and other stakeholders.
Other responsibilities may be added at the company's discretion.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic background knowledge of recombinant protein, therapeutic antibody, protein design and engineering.
- Expertise in standard molecular biology techniques.
- Experience using cell culture systems for protein production.
- Hands on experience with AKTA or equivalent instruments.
- Knowledge of characterizing protein quality and purity, such as SEC-HPLC, SDS-PAGE, endotoxin testing.
- Knowledge in biotechnology, protein chemistry, structural biology, or related field.
- Working experience in biotech or pharmaceutical companies is a plus.
- A strong motivation to pursue science in drug discovery.
- Adaptable and productive in a fast-paced environment.
- Good team-working spirit and interpersonal skills.
Language: fluent English. (Mandarin preferred)
EDUCATION:
- Degree in relevant science e.g. Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical or other similar disciplines.
- BS with 2-4 years' experience, or master with 0-2 years' experience working in a laboratory environment.
Experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is preferred.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES & EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of antibody production
- Strong evidence of troubleshooting and innovative problem solving
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
