Braintree Laboratories, Inc., a part of Sebela Pharmaceuticals, has its contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) in Holbrook, MA, offering pharmaceutical-development and in-house manufacturing services for specialty gastroenterology products.

The QC Chemist is a laboratory bench position that performs routine release testing for raw materials, intermediates, and final products within a cGMP environment.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products according to approved laboratory test methods
  • Perform instrument qualification and maintenance
  • Perform test method validation/verification
  • Review analytical data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
  • Perform training on procedures, equipment, or quality systems
  • Revise SOPs, Worksheets, and Forms as needed
  • Individual contributor role, but may be assigned as a project lead or trainer commensurate with experience or expertise
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily, be flexible in terms of work hours, have strong knowledge and experience in analytical scientific skills, and a strong attention to detail. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in chemistry, or related discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in a cGMP environment, preferably in a laboratory setting
  • Strong foundation in analytical techniques and data interpretation
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow detailed procedures which contribute to QC laboratory readiness and compliance

Pay Range: $55-60K based on experience (this reflects our reasonable and good faith estimate of what will be paid at the time of posting). Competitive benefits package included
